The watches we want to see in 2023

Daan, Laurits, and RJ talk about the watches they’d like to see the brand launch in 2023. Daan wants a smaller Overseas from Vacheron Constantin, while Laurits wants to see fake Rolex launch a new Milgauss. RJ wants a “proper” Piaget Polo gold watch with engraving on the case and strap for reissue. What watches would you like to see come out this year? Please let us know!
Daan is wearing a Seiko SPB317 with a two-piece NATO strap, RJ is wearing a Speedmaster Silver Snoopy Award 50th Anniversary Edition, and Laurit is wearing a vintage Longines ref. Laurits is wearing his vintage Longines 5760 with a black leather strap. Daan wrote about his Seiko SPB317 here, and you can find more about the Silver Snoopy Award here of it.
As I wrote in my introduction, Daan is eager to see a new copy Vacheron Constantin Overseas, but with a smaller diameter. 36 mm would be the ideal case size, but he would also be open to 37 mm. Vacheron Constantin offers the Overseas in 37 mm, but these diamond-set watches are aimed at women. The 40mm model pictured above is the brand’s answer to the Royal Oak “Jumbo”, an amphibious watch with the famous Jaeger-LeCoultre 920 movement. Daan believes that it would be a winner if Vacheron Constantin could make a 36mm or 37mm version.
Laurits, Fratello’s e-com manager, expects Rolex to replace the current Milgauss model with something new. It will have at least an updated movement, but perhaps also a thinner case, as we saw with the Air-King in 2022. RJ hopes to reintroduce the 1970s Piaget Polo watch – in gold, of course. The current Polo watch doesn’t suit him. It’s too tame, although Piaget is a brand that could easily get away with bolder designs. There are some rather interesting watches in Piaget’s early catalogs, such as the Polo below, with its engraved lines on the case and bracelet.
In addition to the three replica watches mentioned above, we also discuss our wishes for other brands, such as Swatch, Tudor, Grand Seiko, Patek Philippe, Blancpain, and Breguet. We hope that this will be an amazing year in terms of new watch launches, and we are curious about your wishes for 2023. What watch would you like to see from your favorite brand? Please let us know in the comments.

Rolex has been making watches for sailing since the Yacht-Master was first introduced in 1992. While the first Yacht-Master was a solid yellow gold 40mm model, Rolex has since expanded its line of sports replica watches to include a variety of sizes, materials, and colorways.
Of particular note in the Yacht-Master collection is the Rolesium model, Rolex’s name for a watch with a mix of steel case and platinum bezel, a metal combination unique to the Yacht-Master line. In addition, the Yacht-Master collection marks the debut of Rolex’s newest bracelet, called the Oysterflex bracelet. The Oysterflex bracelet consists of a metal blade interior enveloped in black rubber, resulting in a sporty rubber strap style yet benefiting from the durability of a metal core.
